Deceptive content on a legitimate Canadian home SAB

Community That label often hits real home-based trades. It does not mean you invented the business. On a legitimate Canadian service-area profile it often means the public facts look like a shop that is not there.

Hide the home address

Official If you are a service-area business, you should hide your business address from customers. Help 9157481 / 3038177. Showing a house as a storefront is a common way a real SAB gets in trouble. Hiding the address is not hiding the business. It is how a service-area listing is supposed to look.

Official Age-restricted products (alcohol, cannabis, weapons) cannot be a service-area business without a storefront.

Name stuffing can suspend

Official Including unnecessary information in the business name is not permitted and could result in suspension. Keywords, city names, hours, phone, or URL in the name are a suspend risk. 3038177.

Do not rebuild a second listing

Do not open another profile “just in case.” Do not delete this one and start again. Google’s own appeal page says not to create a new Business Profile for the same business while an appeal is open. A new listing does not skip the queue. We never tell you to wipe the profile and rebuild.
